The Amazing Journey
Busy, Busy, Busy is understatement when we start describing a new season in life. Although such an important factor in any season we may find ourselves always requires a get-a-away moment in every day to put all attention in the Stillness of God’s Presence.
Definitely very much of growing has happened in the last 4 Months and of course then comes the fruit after the labour, time, business, and that proves if all was in vain or worth it.
In new Seasons we may quickly realize that we can get so caught up in the business of this new moment, this new thing or opportunity, that we may neglect the stillness of God’s which is our watering of the Spirit’s fruit garden. When we neglect that it means at some point we may not be attached so committed and humble as in the beginning and have been sowing from ourselves instead of what is from God.
Be Careful in new seasons and stay attached by still times in God’s presence to soak up the Living Water and becoming a servant of that which the Spirit have sown into us to be sowed through us and then bearing perfect fruit that Glorifies God.
Desire HIM more and You will experience HIM more!
Now go and BEAR FRUIT!
Well, has been very long since my last post. But soon, very soon I will be posting regarding the new season we entered into.
When we would ask a gardner what pruning means the answer that would fill the air would be “Pruning is when I cut away dead or dying branches that would harm the whole plant”. Branches must be pruned in order to make the plant healthy and also to increase amounts of flowers and fruit size. Together with this it also helps correcting faulty habits of growth. It looks painful on the surface when a gardner has to prune his beloved plant by cutting off dead branches, but this actually is caring for his plant in the best possible way.
In our lives we need to look if there is any dead branches hanging on us, holding us back? They might be bad habits, sinful choices or ungodly practices?
Allow God to prune you from all these variety of dead branches that may be keeping you from reaching your full potential. It may be hard because of some habits that need to be laid down.
Allow God to prune you as He is the perfect gardner and would always do what is in your best interest.
Enjoy your Journey, until we meet again.
As I was reading through the Scriptures and pondering upon a few verses, I felt the question arising in my heart, “Where is provision waiting to meet me?”.
I found myself thinking about this in different ways and angles. “Should I wait for provision before taking a big step?”. “Should I take the step in Faith and trust for Provision?”. “Should I even be thinking about the provision?”.
I then read Chapter 22 in the book of Genesis about Abraham having to take Isac to the mountain and offer him unto God as a sacrifice. Immediately this answered something about provision in my heart. Abraham first took the step in Faith when he heard the voice of God, and then Abraham experienced the provision of God upon that mountain. “Are we missing out on God’s provision in our lives because we are to afraid of taking that step in faith?”. Have we allowed our faith to take a back seat because we first want to see God provide before we trust Him in doing something profound.
God’s provision has maybe been waiting for us inside the opportunity all along, I we just didn’t want to meet it there, because a lack of faith.
Maybe it is time we just started walking that mountain in faith (Whatever your mountain may be) and knowing that on the other side the provision is waling up that mountain. And when we reach the top we will be met with the provision of God in the Opportunity and not for the opportunity.
May you come to trust God more and step out in faith believing His promises.
Early morning drive to work again, while waiting for the robot to turn green…which in any case takes forever. I saw something deeper than what is usually seen when waiting. Usually we wait and the same thing happens every time and it almost feels like dejavu. Those begging hands, sad eyes and torn clothes standing at your car’s window, to you just a car window…to them maybe a window of opportunity. We usually, once in a while wind down our window and give out change, when maybe we should instead give out a chance.
They of course need the change, but that will just be enough for a moment which fades away quicker than you think, instead given a chance could change a life, a future and could end up with endless possibilities. I am not saying a have a plan, I have a way of doing it…all I am saying is try to look beyond what his need may be in the moment, for he sees only the now, and we should look at his next day and after that. For him it may be to far out there to see and achieve, but we have the opportunity to reach out for him and draw it closer to his reach.
Take the step to look deeper to reach out and change a life.
So after much speculation about my handiness in the kitchen, the ability to achieve cooking greatness and to tickle the taste buds was put to the test. The time has come to prove the fact that I do have what it takes, maybe not to achieve cooking greatness or tickle every taste bud, but still, to achieve a desired result……DRUM ROLL PLEASE : To feed a belly!
Placing myself in the shoes of my wife, and doing the shopping for my ingredients, almost ingredient, because of the few things a bought. I thought to myself, if my cooking is not going to make the cut for the Jamie Oliver show, I better make up with the desert ( Of course just bought with my hands in a already baked, cooked or whatever they do with it at the store ). So I got some nice doughnuts with jam, which of course is something my wife truly enjoys.
Although this cooking experience sound’s like I am going to make a five star, three course meal, it was only Mince Mate. Although to me it was like my Matric Exam, because I could not remember the answers to the questions arising while busy cooking up this easy for most meal.
But after much passion, desire, commitment, I made a eatable and yet still a well cooked meal of Mince Mate. Which my wife then truly admired, and enjoyed might I add.
So there is so much lessons to be learned in so many small things we do. As something I learned while cooking was, that although I may not be the best cook in town, with love, passion and commitment to someone, you will achieve things that neither of you would expect. Because love for each other challenges us to grow beyond the every day and normal lives we have, but to achieve things that will bless the other one.
Be open to opportunities that may arise to do the things that neither you, nor your loved one expect you to do, because of tradition that you can’t do it, but use those opportunities to bless your partner, and yourself with growth.
